Wondering how to make a Halloween pizza? In this new article, we provide you with all the steps you must follow to make a pizza with ghosts and spiders. Let’s go there!

Ingredients to make a Halloween pizza:

  • 1 homemade or commercial pizza dough
  • 6 slices of mozzarella cheese
  • 200 milliliters of natural tomato sauce
  • Pitted black olives
  • Chopped roast chicken
  • Ground black pepper
  • Fresh rosemary leaves
  • Dried oregano
  • Olive oil
  • Salt

You will need:

  • Baking tray
  • Baking paper or aluminum
  • Pizza cutter
  • Chopsticks

Step 1:

If you want to use a pizza dough bought and ready to bake, this recipe will be very simple and fast. It will not take you more than 20 minutes to have it ready. If, on the other hand, you want to spend more time and make the dough yourself, you should start an hour before to carry out the kneading and fermentation. We point out that we have made a Halloween pizza with previously purchased dough. Well, the first thing you should do is preheat the oven to 180 ºC.

Step 2:

Place special paper or, failing that, aluminum foil on a baking sheet to spread the pizza dough. Spread the natural tomato sauce on top and distribute throughout the dough, leaving a thin line around the edges. Salt and pepper everything and place it in the oven so that the dough begins to cook. It should not stay longer than five minutes.

Step 3:

After 5 minutes, remove from the oven and start decorating. To do this, use mozzarella, olives and rosemary as toppings. The ideal is to use mozzarella because it is a cheese that can be melted and au gratin, but that does not melt, so it can retain its shape. But you can also use sliced cheese in the shape of ghosts in different sizes and distribute them on the pizza, prodding with a toothpick to mark the eyes.

If you want to be more precise, you can get a model from the Internet or even look for a cookie-cutter with the shape, since at this time it will not be difficult to find. For the spiders, you just have to take the pitted black olives, cut them in half and distribute them on the pizzas. For the legs, use the sprigs of rosemary, placing four and four on the sides of the olive.

Step 4:

It only remains to add the rest of the ingredients to give the pizza more flavor. You can choose the ingredients that you like the most or that are within your diet or preferences, but this time, we suggest roast chicken cut into pieces and scattered around the gaps that have been left free in the pizza. It can also work great turkey or cooked ham, tuna or seitan for the vegetarian version. Halloween pizza is almost ready!

Step 5:

Salt and pepper again, add the dried oregano on top and return to the oven. This time at 220 ºC for approximately 10 to 15 minutes or until you see that the cheese is already starting to melt and the edges to brown.

When it is golden brown, remove it from the oven and it will be ready to be consumed on this fun night. This pizza is one of the many examples that you can make for Halloween. We point out that the ingredients are very similar to those of a conventional pizza, but the shape of the cheese and the olives will give a decorative touch that will be perfect for a menu worthy of a good Halloween.
